Job Overview

The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, is recruiting for a full-time Research Scientist, in the laboratory of Leukemia and Drug Development Laboratory (LDDL), to help conduct research in the area of hematology.

Essential Functions


Modify and adapt experimental protocols, techniques and procedures to specific project requirements.
Design, coordinate and conduct experimental procedures.
Prepare research results and written summaries of results in manuscript form for publications and in graphics form for presentation at research meetings and for grant proposals.
Maintain and ensure compliance with regulatory protocols and records.
May submit research proposals as principal investigator for intramural/extramural funding.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

PhD and/or MD required.
