Copeland Copeland Business System Growth Director in Sidney, Ohio

The Copeland Business System (CBS), Growth Leader will be an experienced leader focused on the development, deployment, and evolution of CBS across the enterprise to drive short and long-term business results, with a focus on driving organic growth through commercial CBS tools and capabilities. They will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally and with the leadership team to ensure successful implementation, while being a driver of CBS culture. The right candidate will have experience in lean management and experience in commercial and/or strategy leadership within industrial manufacturing organizations.

This position provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity for broad exposure to our various businesses and their leadership teams. The home location for this position is somewhat flexible, but preferably near one of our business units, and will require domestic and global travel.

AS A COPELAND BUSINESS SYSTEM (CBS) GROWTH LEADER, YOU WILL:

  • Assisting the Business Unit (BU) and Copeland leadership in the development of a Commercial roadmap to meet Breakthrough Deployment requirements

  • Developing and implementing the growth business system infrastructure, inclusive of strategy deployment, quote-to-cash value stream, Voice of Customer (VOV), customer segmentation, portfolio management, innovation, sales funnel management, key account management, and product lifecycle management

  • Building lean culture and capabilities to achieve business outcomes

  • Facilitating measurable, impactful improvements across the global enterprise in alignment with strategic growth objectives and expectations from stakeholders

  • Assessing the growth competency of the organization and collaborating with leadership to prioritize key initiatives to impact organic growth performance

  • Utilizing a team-oriented structured problem-solving approach to assess current state, analyze problems, and identify and implement improvement opportunities in commercial and back-office functions

  • Coaching and developing team members at all levels of the organization to become lean practitioners, with an emphasis not only on lean tools, but also on key lean principles and leadership behaviors

  • Leading and coaching multiple Kaizen events simultaneously

  • Supporting the development and facilitation of a training curriculum for the Lean Business System principles and tools; leading training programs as necessary

  • Providing support to the enterprise VP of Business Excellence and develop tools, methods, and programs for use across the corporation

WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or a technical discipline

  • Demonstrated lean expertise and impact; understands and can articulate lean as an operating system, culture and tools

  • Minimum 7-10 years of related work experience in progressively responsible leadership roles including those in Continuous Improvement, Sales and Marketing (Commercial), Product Line Management, Strategy and General Management with P&L responsibilities

  • Experience successfully driving change and transformation in commercial organizations

  • Proven experience in developing Go-To-Market Strategies, Market Segmentation, Product development

  • Experience with business strategy planning/development and facilitating strategy deployment (Hoshin Kanri) at senior leadership levels

  • Strong business and financial acumen, excellent communication and leadership skills, and bias for action

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • MBA

  • 15+ years of related work experience

  • Global experience that encompassed lean management, cross functional and business unit to business unit experience
