Job Description:
complete and all requirements are met. Assists in selecting cost effective and safe project designs. Serves as a primary customer contact for assigned communities regarding new or changes to existing fiber documentation systems.
Responsibilities:
· Handles non-routine to moderately complex data entry and data entry automation projects in the Fiber Manager GIS system
· Plans fiber route input sequences for construction plans and as-builts including as-builts, preparing necessary maps and sketches, ensures accuracy of slack calculations, and enters correct splicing assignments.
· Performs a variety of analysis including, but not limited to, completion of dark lease applications while adhering to regulatory requirements.
· Tracks and reports work related functions necessary to support the business processes including creating work requests, GIS/Mapping System, and various other systems.
· Provides technical support for automation of data input tasks from construction plans and red lines.
· Works with hourly and salaried supervisors in scheduling work.
· Assists network engineering in development of project scopes and schedules by selecting and specifying sites.
· Interacts with operations managers to assist with map utilization field training.
· Keeps current in knowledge and understanding of company procedures, rates, rules, practices, standards, and application of construction materials. Supervision
· Performs work under the general supervision of a Team Lead.
Experience:
· 2 years of related experience Other Requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Good knowledge of math, physics and fiber construction practices.
· Working knowledge of Fiber Manager or ArcGIS.
· Demonstrated survey and data input and design skills within a GIS system.
· Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management) preferred.
· Ability to understand scripting or other automation capabilities available in ArcGIS and/or Fiber manager.
Skills:
