Gundersen Health System is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Developer to play a vital role in building the user interfaces for our healthcare applications. You'll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional teams to bring our visions to life.
What's Available:

Fulltime, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)

Schedule: Monday-Friday days

Location: Remote eligibility for residents of WI, MN, and IA only

What You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education

2 years of relevant work experience

Experience in Tech Stack

Strong Problem Solving Skills

Ability to work well amongst a team

Willingness and desire to learn new tech and grow

Cloud Services, Data base content management tools, release pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (back end).

Experience with building public websites (front end)

Job Description:
Accountable for software development activities including development, testing, configuration, and support.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Create detailed design documents that reflect the needs of the business requirements and the conceptual and logical constraints of the solution architecture documents.
2. Develop and enhance systems and provide systems support, such that the appropriate metrics are met or exceeded.
3. Create and execute unit and performance cases that correspond to the needs of the validated requirements and the constraints of the design documents.
4. Collaborate with organization architects.
5. Analyze project and work tasks. Provide estimates of scope, work efforts and dependencies. May lead projects or subprojects, providing direction to others on project teams.
6. Effectively multi-task. Deliver results when attention is divided. Resolve and balance ambiguity in priorities.
7.Coach and mentor other software engineers. Collaborate with peers in setting, maintaining, and evolving detailed design, development, and support standards and processes.
8.Facilitate coordination in development and support activities, with IT peers from other developer and infrastructure teams. Deploy applications and systems.
9.Support systems during the project transition phase, by remediating newly discovered quality issues. Facilitate the transition of applications and systems by creating appropriate support artifacts, and by conducting knowledge transfer sessions with other software engineers, as appropriate.
10.Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher management levels.
11.Performs other duties as assigned.
