Skookum is seeking a sharp and organized Contracts Manager with a professional attitude. The Contracts Manager will consistently manage prime customers, suppliers, and vendor contracts. You will work independently and in concert with others to perform processes necessary to enhance production efficiently.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Oversees the onboarding of new work statements to ensure success for our customer.
Manage applicable contract management systems and ERP, ensuring fully executed contracts, subcontracts and modifications are accurately tracked. Review contracts, amendments, and terms and conditions prior to management signatures.
Manage purchase orders. Request purchase order changes from customers. Notify the team of all purchase order awards and changes. Input all new purchase orders and changes into ERP. Create new part numbers in ERP, as needed.
Fill out supplier registration for new customers. Manage registrations for existing customers. Manage user access in customer systems (i.e. Exostar, Boeing portal, etc.)
Review compliance with terms and identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution or contract modification.
Demonstrates knowledge of analyzing contracts to ensure compliance with company policy, and other relevant, applicable requirements.
Perform appropriate administrative and operational research to support contract development.
Ensures that supplier agreements are executed in a manner that effectively produces results associated with the conditions of the negotiations and appropriately manages the risk associated with the receipt of the good or service.
Provides processes and guidance to the sales organization, business units, and functions to ensure contracts satisfy corporate requirements, organizational goals, and customer needs.
Close collaboration with various departments including Finance, Estimating, Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing, and Quality Control.
Advises the business units on our contractual rights and remedies throughout the duration of a business relationship.
Enforce organizational principles of risk management, clarity, and compliance with respect to customer requirements.
Engages with business units, legal and other functions to obtain approval for non-standard contractual positions in accordance with corporate and business unit policies.
Properly fill in specified data fields so that ERP systems can generate information accurately.
Support AS9100 audits and ensure compliance to established standards.
Must be able to interact with all levels of management, internal departments, employees, attorneys, regulatory agencies, consultants, and companies.
Requires the ability to convey and work with confidential information, and respond to and follow up on complaints, problems, and issues.
Ability to read and understand legal documents and contracts.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 3-5 years of diversified and progressively responsible experience Aerospace and Commercial Manufacturing
Strategic business focus as well as a strong code of ethics.
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
Demonstrates an understanding of general business acumen and contract law.
Demonstrates knowledge of procedures related to contract management principles.
Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and MS Project.
Previous experience reviewing, drafting & abstracting contractual scopes of work.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver's license preferred.
Must be either a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (In order to comply with U.S. government regulations as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a "protected individual" as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
