Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Business Analyst to support our software development projects.
Your Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to document business requirements and validate requirements using a variety of techniques like functional requirements documents, user stories, use cases, and workflow diagrams. Help to scope the system and identify potential areas of automation
Translate and document business requests into written IT detailed business requirements for application development
Review, analyze and evaluate impacts of development requests
Work with project stakeholders to identify, document and validate requirements. Help to scope the system, identify potential areas of automation, and reengineer the underlying business process.
Administer the product backlog working with product management on prioritization and requirements
Develop and communicate project plans/timelines to ensure cross-functional readiness for new product launches, enhancements, or bug fixes
Coordinate technical product roadmaps and communicate project progress to stakeholders
Define/create development tasks and accompanying acceptance criteria / quality Assurant requirements
Communicate/work closely with development Lead during the sprint cycle providing consultation and clarifications of requirements as needed from conception to launch in alignment with business needs
Work in a cross functional team to achieve development goals to ensure task completion is on time and with high quality
Validate functionality meets user story requirements
Conduct and summarize informal and formal requirements reviews as items are being developed
Oversee and manage the code promotion process through various server environments
Assist in the development of documentation for new functionality and process procedures
Ability to Demo product showcasing completed functionality and gathering feedback form internal stakeholders
Interact professionally and effectively with co-workers and customers
Comfortable asking questions in various methods to ensure requirements are clear for software delivery
Assimilate and share status report in defined cadence to ensure expectations are managed and deliveries are met
You Must Have:
Requires Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience, 2+ years' experience in the field or in related area
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
Effectiveverbal and written communication skills, collaborating with Development Leads, internal peers, and management
Willingness and capability of quickly learning new technologies
Desire to learn and natural curiosity
Ability to adapt easily as procedure and/or business needs change
Able to escalate and make problems visible to facilitate completion of key initiatives and commitments
Work independently (w/some supervision) and prioritize multiple competing assignments appropriately to meet deadlines while adjusting to a rapidly changing environment
Effective team player in a team environment
Ability to operate effectively under conditions of moderate ambiguity
Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Able to learn quickly, self-teach, take initiative, and adapt easily to changes
