Applications must be received by April 11, 2025 General Statement of Duties: The Chief Executive Officer provides oversight and leadership for daily operations of a Community Action Agency including personnel management, grants administration, general contract development, contract compliance, fiduciary oversight, and information technology functions within the agency. Essential Job Functions: The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, not mentioned below, and essential functions may be revised. 1. Assumes a leadership role as part of agency management in the creation and development/evolution of agency culture and values, strategic development, risk mitigation, and professional growth of the agency. 2. Guides the administrative leadership of the agency. 3. Creates and maintains an organization structure that allows the agency to accomplish their goals and objectives. 4. Identifies funding agencies, develops proposals, and applies for grants and contracts that meet program objectives established by the Board. 5. Oversees the recruitment, hiring, supervision, evaluation, and termination of staff. 6. Oversees programs, budgets, and compliance with regulations as defined by the Board of Directors, regulatory agencies, and funding sources. 7. Represents the agency and its constituents both within and outside the primary service area of Lewis County. 8. Assures agency compliance with all relevant governmental, regulatory, and funding body requirements, and with the policies and guidelines established by the Board. Qualifications: The following are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job: 1. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The incumbent must: Have basic knowledge of relevant hardware and software technology, including the ability to resolve on-site problems either personally or with contracted vendors. Work constructively with a variety of stakeholders, including Federal, State and local funding sources, vendors, co-workers, and Board members. Travel as necessary to attend meetings, conferences and trainings relevant to the job. Communicate effectively and accurately carry out oral and written instructions. Work independently and in a team setting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Have a valid drivers license with acceptable driving record. 2. Acceptable Experience and Training: The incumbent must minimally possess a Bachelors degree related to the job requirements. Additionally, five years of administrative or supervisory experience and two years of appropriate knowledge with IT administration and grant writing or community action/development is preferred. Compensation is relative to experience and skills listed above. Standards of Performance: The incumbent will be formally evaluated after the introductory three months, at twelve months from acquiring the job, and annually thereafter, and will be evaluated by the Board of Directors. The incumbent will be evaluated on competency with the essential functions of the job.
