Job Description
We are seeking a Regular School Bus Driver who will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of children and teens to and from their designated locations. The primary responsibility will be to operate a school bus in compliance with traffic laws and company safety policies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all passengers.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a Regular School Bus Driver will include:
Safe Transportation: Safely operate a school bus to transport students to and from their designated locations, strictly following traffic laws and company safety policies.
Pre-Trip Inspection: Perform daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in proper working condition, reporting any defects or issues to the maintenance department.
Student Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers on the bus, including students with special needs, by properly securing passengers, assisting with boarding and disembarking, and maintaining discipline.
Route Familiarity: Be familiar with assigned routes and stops, adapting to changes when necessary, and maintaining accurate route and time records.
Communication: Maintain effective and professional communication with company management and students.

Emergency Procedures: Be trained and ready to execute emergency procedures, including evacuation and first aid if required.
Compliance: Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing the operation of a school bus, as well as company policies.
Vehicle cleanliness: Keep the bus clean and free of debris, ensuring that safety equipment and emergency exits are unobstructed.
Required Experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus endorsement.
Clean driving record
Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and maintain composure in challenging situations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
60 hours of training classroom and road test for new Trainees.
40 Hours if they currently have their CDL Class A
Previous school bus driving experience is preferred but not required.
