PURPOSE:
Mall of America, the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the United States, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Corporate Social Responsibility + Experiential Events Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning, philanthropic impact and a strong desire to learn. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in the events and non-profit industry.
The Corporate Social Responsibility + Experiential Events Intern will assist Corporate Social Responsibility + Experiential Events staff with planning and execution of experiential events, community events, and processing/creation of various outgoing donations at Mall of America.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist Corporate Social Responsibility + Experiential Events staff with planning and execution of large-scale events, such as community relations walks, philanthropic events, MOA Community Foundation events, celebrity appearances, sponsorship activations, performances and other events as assigned.
Assist with coordination, planning and execution of Toddler Tuesdays LIVE program including booking weekly entertainment, event logistics and execution.
Assist in planning phases of Mall of America + Nickelodeon Universe seasonal + annual events (Love Chute, Fog Chute, Booniverse, Black Friday, Swing Dance Nights, Curated Style Fashion Show, Wrestling, Festival of Trees, Holiday for Heroes, etc.).
Assist managing non-profit partnerships, events, activations + programs through corporate social responsibility efforts.
Research potential event partners and sponsors for annual spectacular events.
Provide creative ideas to make Mall of America events unique and attractive to draw new customers.
Assist with organization of Corporate Social Responsibility + Experiential Events videos, photo archives, event equipment and supplies.
Fulfill requests for event information and event proposals received via email and voice mail.
Fulfill non-profit donation requests.
Opportunity to coordinate small scale events.
Support various Marketing initiatives guided through other departments with everyday tasks.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as pulling pallets, walking extensively, moving boxes, etc.
Performing other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Recent graduate or currently pursuing degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, Public Relations, Communication or Nonprofit Management.
Experience + passion for event planning + philanthropic efforts. Experience can include internships and extracurricular activities/events.
Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in MS Office Suite including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
