The University of Maryland seeks a
radiologist for a new faculty position in the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Maryland
Medical Center in Baltimore. The section covers all aspects of Abdominal imaging,
including CT, PET/CT, MR, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and image guided procedures,
with faculty sub-specialization where appropriate. The department has 3T and
1.5T clinical and research MR scanners, newest generation dual source/dual
energy CT scanners, CT fluoroscopy interventional systems and Ultrasound equipment
with 3D, fusion, elastography, and contrast-enhanced sonography. A new clinical
and research PET/MR program will commence operations in Fall 2018. The
Abdominal section participates in multiple multidisciplinary conferences.
The University Medical Center campus has
1000 beds and radiology services are also provided for the adjacent Baltimore
VA Medical Center and remotely for several off-campus imaging facilities. The

School of Medicine will be made at an academic level appropriate for the candidate’s
experience. Applicants must be ABR certified, meet the requirements for
Maryland licensure and should have both fellowship training and research
experience in Abdominal imaging. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute
to the department’s clinical, education and research missions. The proposed
hire date is July 2020.
