| Job Description: |
This position is responsible for performing phlebotomies and receiving/processing specimens to ensure high quality in the preanalytical phase of laboratory testing.
Work Schedule: 0.5 FTE - M-F: 4AM to 9 AM with every 4th weekend rotation.
Required Qualification:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some positions, as identified by the Laboratory Manager, will be required to drive to various sites to perform phlebotomy. If required, must have a valid driver's license and meet all criteria required under Lakeview's Automobile Liability Guidelines.
Knowledge and skills sufficient to provide technical instructions and communicate and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures.
Preferred Qualification:
Completion of health care program (e.g. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Phlebotomy).
Phlebotomy Certification
Medical Terminology knowledge
Previous phlebotomy experience
Typing or keyboarding skills
