Job Summary

Make a difference and change a person's life. Non-profit seeks a Children's Counselor. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work. Must have a minimum 2 years of experience in supportive counseling and interventions. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. The Children’s Counselor under the direction of the Program Director will lead the Children’s Education and Enrichment/Homeless Outreach Program (CHOP). They will develop, implement, and evaluate the programs participating in children’s educational and enrichment progress. The Children’s Counselor will also provide brief counseling, referrals, and linkage to community services and support to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance and assist their families who are experiencing homelessness, residing in our Sojourner’s Homeless Shelter. A complete job description is provided at the time of the interview. Compensation: $16.00-$18.00 hourly.
