About the Unit/Department/Team
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing professional reception and scheduling services to patients, visitors and staff in a growing clinic setting. Applicants should have 5-star service standards, be detail orientated and able to multi-task and problem solve. This position works closely with patients, providers and clinic nursing staff to ensure a well-rounded care experience for patients. It is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, which makes this position an integral part of the care team. Position Summary
Patient Access Representatives are integral because they are usually the first point of contact for patients and families coming to Lakewood. We obtain information which results in building the foundation for medical records and billing. Patient Access is the key to the success of the revenue cycle. We promote quality, continued care through management of orders, referrals and follow up appointments.
Position Type
This is a full-time position averaging 64 hours every two weeks. Hours vary between 6:30AM to 5:00PM on weekdays, with a rotating Saturday shift from 7:45AM to 12:00PM.

Qualifications
Computer literacy
Prior experience with family practice scheduling is preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
