The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) in Anoka is seeking a talented, mission driven, person-centered Behavioral Services Supervisor. As the Behavioral Services Supervisor, you will provide oversight and supervision of Treatment Plan Coordinators, Treatment Plan Specialist, and the Spiritual Care department. In this role, you will help ensure the availability and access of quality programming for patients with complex and co-occurring disorders involving mental health, substance use, and medical conditions in collaboration with the Clinical Service Director, supervisors, and other staff members. This position will be involved in hospital wide initiatives including treatment planning, patient grievances, Hospital Review Board, and other as needed volunteer services. This position influences hospital services, policies and procedures and will involve representation as the chairperson/co-chairperson of several committees and work groups at AMRTC.

Responsibilities:

  • Hiring, interviewing, oversight, supervision, and training of Treatment Plan Specialists, Treatment Plan Coordinators, and Chaplains

  • Assist with the Hospital Review Board in order to coordinate patient meetings, implement a plan to move recommendations forward and create a response with the hospital administrator and other executive team members as needed.

  • Participate in assigned committees and work groups including Co-chairing the Treatment Planning Oversite Committee.

  • Coordinate and report on treatment planning areas of quality improvement efforts and performance improvement projects.

  • Development, maintenance, improvement and coordination of AMRTC treatment planning and group programming.

  • Audit and follow-up on clinical procedure and policy changes as well as fidelity items from Evidence Based Practices to ensure practices are improved and sustained.

Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered, trauma-informed care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a mental health professional through the relevant degree licensing board (LPCC, LICSW, LMFT) or currently hold an equivalent license in another jurisdiction and able to obtain Minnesota licensure prior to start date.

3 years experience providing behavioral health hospital or an inpatient or outpatient facility including at least 3 of the duties listed below:

  • Overseeing and implementing clinical programming, life skills/education, and/or initiatives designed to enhance the services provided

  • Delivering psychoeducation and/or behavioral interventions

  • Providing case coordination among multidisciplinary team members

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments

  • Leading development of treatment/support plans as required by program licensure

AND

1 year demonstrated leadership experience that includes:

  • Providing work direction, training, problem solving support and procedural guidance to staff

  • Provide leadership and direction in the development, evaluation and implementation of unit and individualized skills training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CMS and TJC regulatory standards related to treatment planning.

  • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting.
