Job Description:
Finance Manager, Integration is responsible for managing the financial integration of acquisitions into Smart Care Solutions, utilizing the Smart Care Integration Playbook for each acquired business. The Finance Manager, Integration will work with key stakeholders across Smart Care's finance and accounting organization to set and meet the strategic finance-process goals for each project in a smooth and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary function is to manage the financial integration program for multiple concurrent projects. The Finance Manager, Integration will work on pre- and post-close finance activities and integrate acquired businesses into the standard accounting functions & processes, financial analysis & reporting, train on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive income. The primary areas of responsibility listed above encompass a broad range of activities, including but not limited to:
Adapt the Integration Playbook to create a specific finance integration plan for the acquired business
Manage completion of opening balance sheets, QoE roll-forward, and purchase price accounting, including fair value accounting & uplifts, creation of intangibles, tax accounting, etc. for each acquisition
Identify and track synergies for each integration program
Perform or facilitate purchase accounting for the acquisition
Manage financial metrics for each integration program and drive results
First 90 day Accounting and FP&A activities may include:
Integration of treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting and reporting
Integration of accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, audit, and tax
Fixed asset management
Transition to accrual accounting
Implementation of internal controls, accounting policies
Management of Month-end close process
Creation of reporting packages for management & consolidation
Management of Net Working Capital
Oversight of financial system implementation (ERP)
True-ups and post-closing settlements
Insurance program consolidation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The Finance Manager, Integration requires strong finance, accounting, and project management skills, good knowledge of field-service based operations, and a proven ability to manage complex cross-functional programs with a wide range of stakeholders. They will combine strong financial skills and experience in M&A transactions with an ability to lead in a dynamic growth environment. Real financial and operational experience is required, as are mentoring skills and experience with transactions.
Must be professional, organized, articulate, thorough, and collaborative
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to take initiative and make good business decisions that are aligned with program strategy & goals
Must be flexible and able to adapt approach to integration and project plans as needed to balance priorities, resources, and approach to execution based on deal specifics
Excellent organizational skills, written & oral communication, project management, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work and develop trust with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels across the business
8 years FP&A experience in a highly leveraged, private-equity backed environment where liquidity is closely monitored
Experience analyzing business performance & developing financial plans required
Experience implementing financial processes & procedures; experience transitioning to accrual accounting preferred
Bachelor's degree required in business related-field or equivalent work experience. Must have general business knowledge and an understand the key functions of Operations, Finance, Sales, HR, and IT
PMP preferred
Experience with field service organizations preferred
Experience implementing KPIs and analyzing project results preferred
