The opportunity
We are seeking someone to join our therapeutic antibody research and development by developing and implementing systems and processes required for effective management of a portfolio of projects and use of these tools to prioritise projects and align them with the organisation’s strategic goals.
How you’ll spend your day
Reporting to the Scientific Operations Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Working with local and global stakeholders to define project goals and objectives and embed governance processes.
- Creation and maintaining templates for project budgets, schedules, etc and subsequent sharing of this information with key stakeholders, including obligations of external partnered projects.
- Develop, implement, and automate regular project performance reports, dashboards across a range of project metrics.
- Analysis of reports to highlight resource and timing constraints and provide recommendations on how to proceed. Proactively identify issues and drive resolution.
- Manage project interdependencies, risks, issues and change requests, and working with the affected project teams to ensure appropriate arrangements.
- Guide core teams to ensure timely decision-making, effective stakeholder communication, adherence to applicable processes and execution.
- Facilitating stage gate progression of projects through development of standardised processes consistent with internal governance requirements.
- Compile reports for various internal and external stakeholder groups, including the Australian Government (R&D Tax incentives) and consultant groups.
- Oversee recording keeping, folder organisation, file naming, storage, and archiving.
- Mentor and train junior staff in meeting best practices including agenda creation, facilitation and minute keeping.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or biotechnology related field
- Postgraduate qualifications desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management/ administration
- Project management or administration qualifications desirable
- Proven experience in the delivery of scientific research projects
- Comfortable presenting, facilitating, interacting, and enforcing governance across various stakeholder groups
- Solutions orientated leader who develops and leverages productive working relationships with direct reports, peers and stakeholders
- Ability to effectively lead project team under matrix organisation structure
