Description of Work Unit | The Department of Human Development and Family Studies: This department is one of eight academic programs in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Colorado State University is Colorado’s land grant institution and holds the Doctoral/Research University – Extensive classification from the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education. Affiliated with CSU’s Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program and the Center for Family and Couple Therapy (CFCT) in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, the newly formed Child Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center (CTRAC) serves as a local, state, and regional child trauma assessment center. CSU Spur: The CSU System, along with its partners, is standing up three buildings focused on water, food and agriculture, animal health, and sustainability at the CSU Spur campus at the National Western Center. Within the Spur buildings, CSU will conduct research and convene experts from around the globe; students of all ages will engage with science and technology, and have opportunities for exploratory learning, transforming their thinking about food, water, and health and the careers available in these fields. Partners will participate in programming the space and bring evolving content to the year-round campus. The first Spur facility, Vida, opened in January of 2022. Terra, focused on food and agriculture opened in June of 2022, and the final building, Hydro, focused on water, will open in January of 2023. Learn more at www.CSUSpur.org. |
Position Summary | Based in Denver at the Family Resilience Center (FRC), this position will be trained in and responsible for implementing an evidence-informed trauma and resilience assessment model, building relationships and community partnerships, and offering training opportunities for human services professionals, clinicians, and graduate students looking to learn more about trauma and resilience. As an extension of the CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center (CTRAC) in Fort Collins, this position will collaborate and work closely with senior clinicians and center directors during their first year. This position also offers professional development opportunities such as further clinical training in trauma-informed practice, workshops, collaborations with national groups, and consultations with community partners (such as the Department of Human Services). Furthermore, hours accrued through supervision (AAMFT approved) and assessment may count toward licensure requirements (please check the requirements outlined by your field of practice). |
