Veterinary Technician
VCA Schaumburg Animal Hospital is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our expanding Primary Care Hospital!
Compensation: Pay range is $19 - 25/ hr and is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

Schedule: Full-time opportunities, 35 - 40 hours with rotating Saturdays.

Our team of experienced DVMs, Certified Veterinary Technicians, and Assistants are committed to ensuring safety and well-being throughout the patient's visit.
Job Snapshot:
The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
- Laboratory/diagnostic duties.
- Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures, including prepping animals, monitoring anesthesia, and providing post-operative care.
- Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Monitor vital signs and provide compassionate care to animals throughout their stay in the surgery and dentistry department.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of veterinary professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Create detailed medical discharge instructions for clients.
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placements
- Physical examinations and patient assessment.
- Maintaining proper sterile conditions.
- Diagnostic imaging.
- Pharmacy.
