Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking a Customer Accounts Associate for our Lakeville, Minnesota corporate office
Job Summary:
The Customer Accounts Associate is responsible for facilitating and handling the customer account onboarding process to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This role will review new customer applications and existing customer account update requests, entering the information into the customer database to establish or update an account. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, obtaining necessary documentation and licensing from customers, and entering data timely and accurately.
Essential Job Functions:
Review, update, and enter customer account application submissions within the company database to create a new customer account or amend an existing account by inputting the required information into the customer database.
Communicate and coordinate with Inside/Outside Sales Representatives, Accounts Receivable, Accounting and customers to collect or correct missing documentation, as well as advise on expected timelines and updates.
Contact regulatory authorities by phone or email to verify customer licensing information, maintaining professional verbal and written communications.
Conduct audits to proactively review the customer account database for accuracy and compliance.
Assist with activities to research and collect information on regulations that affect licensing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
A minimum of two years of data entry and customer service experience preferred.
The ability to meet timelines in high paced work environment.
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
A working knowledge of general accounts receivable principles
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism.
Proficiency in using a variety of computer applications to include Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
The ability to effectively work with others throughout the organization
Ability to work accurately with highly detailed information
Mental & Physical Demands:
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Regular interaction with people, team-player
Potential for stress related to a typical receivables problem resolution process
Continuous use of hands for writing and computer keyboard
Continuous use of a computer monitor requiring close vision
Frequent use of a telephone - listening and speaking
Ability to work at a desk throughout the day
