The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Under the supervision of the Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 4, the Treatment Team Leader is responsible for all clinical, programmatic and administrative functions relating to the operation of group homes providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of all individuals under their charge. The Team Leader interfaces with families, correspondents, medical facilities, Willowbrook class parties and other involved parties. Must have ability to interact with all involved parties in a professional manner and be able to identify concerns that may arise in a timely manner and ensure the individual’s needs and wants are taken into consideration. The Team Leader plans, organizes and supervises the implementation of Residential Habilitation services and ensures that programs meet all applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Related duties as deemed necessary by your supervisor. Also serves as Administrator on Call.

Additional Comments • If you are currently a New York State employee serving in a permanent competitive qualifying title and eligible for a transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, you may be appointed to this title as a permanent competitive employee.
• Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the downstate adjustment. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for M/C Grade M-1 ($90,931) and Downstate Adjustment ($3,400). Downstate Adjustment is also added to the job rate ($114,940).
• Preference will be given to OPWDD employees impacted by closures. If you are being impacted by closure, please indicate this on your resume.
• All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
• If you are employed by state government you may be able to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments have been made under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.
