Your Impact:

Lead the engineering group within the Special Projects Division developing ISR devices for fixed ground, mobile, and airborne environments supporting high priority missions for the intelligence community. 

The engineering group leader is required to perform supervisory, planning, and technical leadership of all tasks associated in the engineering group. These efforts include overall department management with respect to leading a group of eight or more engineers and technicians. The Group Leader will perform reviews of staff engineers and be responsible for determining and justifying merit increases, grade level advancements, rewards, and for implementing individual performance improvement plans as required.   The Group Leader will act in a lead technical role for critical programs within the division. This role may include technical leadership for the project, financial leadership for the project with budget and schedule responsibility within the department, customer technical interface, and hardware build / test /delivery responsibility for both limited run prototypes and production quantity hardware.

  • Develop technical capability roadmap for the group aligned to requirements identified by business area forecasting and customer requirements forecasting. 
  • Technical oversight and direction of all development activities within the group.   
  • Workforce planning and forecasting.   
  • Job and task assignments.   
  • Staff training.   
  • Expense and capital budgeting / management.   
  • Safety and workplace environment management.   
  • Responsibility for department fabrication and assembly lab supervision / monitoring.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 9 years of related experience OR M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7 years of related experience.
  • 9 years’ experience leading the design and development of advanced RF, Microwave, high speed digital systems, and/or High-Speed Analog circuit card assemblies.  
  • Experience with RF and mixed-mode circuit card assemblies, high power RF amplifier IC’s, and RF receiver and transmitter sub-systems.  

Preferred:

  • Experience designing miniaturized or low Size Weight and Power (low-SWaP) RF and Digital electronics products.  
  • Experience with Altium Design Tool, Microwave Office Simulation Tool, and/or CST.
