Job Description

 
Monitor and analyze CBTC systems' performance, including train control, signaling, communication, and associated software; identify and address performance issues, anomalies, and deviations from the expected system behavior; develop plans to optimize system efficiency, reliability, safety, and passenger experience; conduct site inspections to identify defects, malfunctions, and deviations from system requirements; document and report identified issues to the design and development teams, ensuring accurate and timely defect resolution; perform impact analysis of the effects of defects on system performance, safety, and operational efficiency; provide technical expertise and support to design, development, and field teams throughout the CBTC system lifecycle; address interdisciplinary engineering issues and ensure system integration and compatibility. participate in design reviews, testing activities, and system integration efforts to validate and optimize system performance; contribute to the development and refinement of engineering standards, best practices, and guidelines related to CBTC systems; provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve system performance, reliability, and safety; and provide communicate with stakeholders by addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring alignment between technical teams and project objectives. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related, or foreign equivalent, plus five years as a Monitoring Engineer, Test and Commissioning Engineer, or Systems Verification and Validation Engineer or Manager, for railway systems. Must have three years of experience working with CBTC signaling, I2S specifications, and project engineering; Splunk, Wireshark decryptor, and .bat Batch files; and TCP/IP and UDP networks. Regular travel to client sites required in various states in the United States. Site visits range from 1-3 months, depending on the project. E-mail CVs to IKOS Consulting, Inc., Attn.
