Our family-owned 60-year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Statewide positions. Wages depend upon experience.  These openings are full-time, permanent positions that may require weekly travel within Arizona.

Labor positions may include the following:

  • Asphalt Laborer,
  • Hot Plant Laborer,
  • Flagger and Traffic Control Laborer,
  • Crusher Laborer, Equipment/Shop Laborer
  • Pipe/Utilities Laborer.

Specific Job Duties and Qualifications:

All positions at Fann Contracting are considered SAFETY SENSITIVE which generally means that these positions involve some aspect of a heightened danger requiring an employee's full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute his or her job. The following applies to all labor candidates:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must have an OSHA 10-Hour class as a condition of employment. If candidates do not have this training and are offered a job, we will provide the training free of charge. If hired, this training must be accomplished within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Must be willing to travel to projects throughout the state of Arizona. (Daily subsistence/travel pay may be available).
  • Must be able to actively listen, learn and follow instructions for safety.
  • Have the ability to work productively under pressure and to pay attention to the details of a project or task.
  • Should have a strong self-motivation/work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.
  • Must be on time and be dependable.
  • Must be available to work various hours including days, nights and possibly even some weekends.
  • Candidates should be eager to be trained and learn while you earn. Our training programs are comprehensive and always free.
  • Environmental factors include frequent exposure to outside hot/cold/humid temperatures. Work safely with chemical/electrical/sharp objects/tools. Access high places and elevated work areas with fall protection PPE and work from ladders. Challenging physical work can be dirty (soil), contain fumes, gases, odors, dust, grease, oil, mud, moving mechanical parts, noise, vibration, wet/slippery ground/floors/surfaces, working w/others & working alone.
