We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Cash Remittance Clerk within our Credit department to help support our Corporate Finance and Accounting team. We are seeking a Cash Remittance Clerk for our corporate office in Carthage, MO. There is possibility for a remote and/or hybrid scheduled after initial training. This role reports directly to the AR Supervisor II.
So, what will you be doing as a Cash Remittance Clerk?
- Process lockbox payments.
- Apply payments from a variety of sources to the appropriate customer accounts in ERP system.
- Research payment discrepancies.
- Set up customer chargebacks as authorized by credit management.
- Flexibility to work overtime during period end, if needed.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 2+ years of experience and/or training in Accounts Receivable preferred.
- Experience utilizing an ERP system.
- Excellent oral, written and listening skills required to communicate well with people of all levels, skill sets, backgrounds, and across multiple functions.
- Computer skills in Microsoft office programs with an emphasis on Excel.
- Ability to communicate with department supervisors, credit managers, co-workers, and ability to work independently and as a team.
- Proficient 10 Key skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
