Heidelberg Materials is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor for our Calgary Operations. This position will have responsibility for improving equipment availability and managing the maintenance staff. This position will work closely with the Production group to plan, coordinate, schedule and manage their predictive maintenance programs for all processing plants and mobile equipment. Additionally, the role has direct responsibility to work on projects to include compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
What you will get to do:
Supervision of the maintenance employees (hourly union workforce)
Plan the maintenance activities for the processing plants and mobile equipment
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and regulations ensuring employees are trained in all safe work procedures
Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities working with the Mine Managers to balance plant and equipment availability with overall costs
Identify key operating components to ensure that spare parts inventory is established to minimize plant and equipment downtime.
Develop with the Mine Managers, the maintenance budget and manage cost control initiatives
Work with the Mine Managers to develop long term goals and objectives aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the Company
Provide guidance and leadership to the maintenance employees including identification of training needs for development
Who we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CET or inter-provincial Trade Journeyman ticket with minimum five years leadership experience
Minimum five years’ experience in the aggregates industry
Demonstrated safety leadership skills
Understanding of predictive maintenance principles and technologies
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, troubleshoot and think strategically
Minimum intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft office with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting and cost management
Essential Skills:
Experience with conveyors, crushers, and screens
Heavy Equipment mechanical knowledge
Maintenance budgets, planning, projects, maintenance prevention program
