What’s a typical day as a Lactose Operator? You’ll be: • Operating all key pieces of dairy processing equipment in the Lactose department, ensuring efficient and effective operation • Successfully following complex procedure equipment start-up. • Running equipment involving emptying crystallization tanks, and refining lactose crystals before drying into Lactose powder. • Performing Clean In Place cycles to keep equipment and the processing environment clean and sanitized • Clean and sanitize all parts and areas of the Lactose department including walls, floors and equipment. • Regulating factors such as solids and temperature to produce high-quality lactose products Taking frequent readings and logging up to fifty variables Assisting with product processing and packaging, including handling of 25 kg bags Troubleshooting and performing maintenance on machinery
