JOB REQUIREMENTS: Join us at beautiful YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow, near
Stevens Point, Wisconsin for a summer of fun and growth! YMCA Camp
Glacier Hollow offers a variety of Overnight and Day Camps for youth
ages 7-17. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and small group
environment which develops the spirit, mind, and body of each
individual, both campers and staff alike! Camp is nestled just 14 miles
east of Stevens Point in beautiful central Wisconsin on Lake Elaine.
Typical camp operations see between 55-65 day campers, and 8-25
overnight campers. GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Camp
Director, will perform a wide variety of routine maintenance tasks
designated to help maintain the YMCA camp grounds, property and
equipment. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to lift a minimum of 10
pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds; floor to waist height, ongoing
throughout the shift. Ability to carry a minimum of 10 pounds and a
maximum of 50 pounds; frequently throughout the shift. Ability to push
or pull a minimum of 10 pounds and a maximum of 120 pounds with the use
of a dolly frequently throughout the shift. Ability to stand and/or walk
for 1 10 hours per day. Ability to climb a step stool or ladder, reach
forward and overhead, and bending and stooping frequently throughout the
shift. Ability to reach shoulder to overhead throughout shift. Ability
to bend approximately 1-3 hours per shift from waist to floor for short
intervals. Squatting included. Ability to learn and operate camp
maintenance vehicles including lawn mower and brush hog. Must be able to
be positive role model working around and interacting with kids and pass
all licensing requirements including fingerprint background check.
WAGES: Pay starting at \$12.45 per hour (depending on experience and
qualifications) from approximately May 20August 30, 2024. WORK SCHEDULE:
The Stevens Point Area YMCA has a full schedule of programs during the
summer months, including programs that continue on some weekends and
holidays. Typical schedule for Summer Maintenance Staff is 20-25 hours,
MonFri with exact hours determined by needs of maintenance work.
