HSE Coordinator - Service
Job Functions: Job Summary This HSE coordinator position in service will manage the planning, establishment, implementation and maintenance of occupational health and safety and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees, including environmental compliance in our service after sales team. Job Functions (Essential)
Representative for the Environmental Management System (EMS) for 14001 Ensure the EMS is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the International Standard, including internal auditing. Representative for the OHSAS, Safety & Health Management System 18001. Report to top management on the performance of the EMS and OHSAS for review, including recommendations for improvement. Develop controls for identified hazards and Risk Assessments. Coordinate the implementation of controls from results of hazard analysis through Engineering, Procedural, Administrative and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Measures and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policy and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improvements to eliminate work accidents and injuries. Performs periodic HS&E inspections to verify conformance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and Minnesota OSHA standards, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. Prepare reports of findings with recommendations for corrective action for applicable employees. Ensure that all required Safety Training is conducted per State and Federal requirements. Investigate accidents to determine cause for use in improving preventative safety measures and safety program. Convene and conduct the Monthly First Responder and Safety Meetings. Maintain and manage the Department of Transportation requirements for applicable employees. Maintain Safety Data Sheets. Assist with contractor safety and job safety compliance. Develop, track, and communicate reporting metrics and KPIs to promote internal and external visibility of sustainability initiatives (e.g., energy usage, waste minimization, diversion rates, etc.) Support sustainability strategy, program development, and deployment across global operations. Qualifications: Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Health Safety or Engineering and 5 years of experience in safety, HSE; or 9 years of safety, HSE experience. Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations Excellent ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Excellent ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Excellent ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, also to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Excellent ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordingly Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
