Working HoursShift is 7:00-3:30 - may be flexible on start and end times.
Job Objective(s):
The Maintenance team member is responsible for performing maintenance duties in the community and around the community grounds as assigned. Responsible for assisting with maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the residents, guests and team members.
Qualifications
Demonstrates a general understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance
Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations
Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
Competent in organizational, time management skills
Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
As applicable, all Cottagewood team members who drive a DOT authorized vehicle must complete DOT testing and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance
Essential Duties: General Maintenance Duties
Responsible for completing all maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor
Performs general maintenance duties such as:
Fixing wall coverings - painting
Performing basic plumbing work
Assists with painting and refurbishing projects
Performs minor building and equipment repairs
Will take rotation for on call
Physical Requirements (based on essential responsibilities)
