Job Description

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Field position requiring out of town travel majority
of the time. This position performs mechanical, electrical and/or
controls/programming upgrades, modifications, repairs, maintenance,
service, troubleshooting, startup, installation, supervision, audits,
training, and support for packaging equipment. This includes equipment
manufactured by the AHC family of companies as well as non AHC OEM
equipment. Major Responsibilities: Perform commissioning of ASBU
equipment Able to program equipment from scratch. Supervise customer
personnel or contractors on electrical installation work. Carry out
panel wiring. Submit daily trip reports. Submit weekly expense reports
and ensure weekly hours are added to ADP. Follow all company policies .
Carry out all company training as required. Assist with training of new
hires on all equipment. Conduct all pre site safety meetings. Advise PM
and FSM of any issues. Highly skilled specialist with practical
knowledge of area of expertise Works to support the achievement of
business targets with moderate impact on departmental results. Receives
little instruction on daily work. May be a facilitator or team lead; may
have input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards
decisions. Communicates with contacts both within and outside of
function; sometimes has responsibility communicating to parties outside
of the organization. Works to influence parties within department at an
operational level . Typically requires minimum of 6-7 years of
experience. May require vocational or technical education in addition to
prior work experience. Required Education / Experience / Skills: Minimum
of three (3) years of hands-on experience with mechanical work within an
industrial, manufacturing, or military setting, emphasizing the
importance of mechanical systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting
mechanical drawings, emphasizing the ability to understand complex
diagrams and blueprints. Flexibility to work on all shifts, including
weekends, holidays, and overtime, showcasing dedication to ensuring
uninterrupted operations. Additionally, willingness to perform
physically demanding tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping,
standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours daily. Possession
of a high school diploma or GED, confirming the basic educational
qualification necessary for the role. Strong commitment to safety,
adhering to all safety rules and regulations and properly utilizing
personal protective equipment (PPE), specifically emphasizing its
importance in mechanical safety. Safe operation of forklift, manlift,
and other rental equipment. Basic electrical knowledge and wiring
practices would be an asset. Field Service Technicians can expect a
