JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The UW-Madison Dance Department is a
pioneer in dance and the first institution in the US to have a degree
program in dance. The department considers the body a gateway to
scientific inquiry, creativity, self-discovery, and citizenship. Our
world-class faculty and professional staff are committed to excellence
in research and teaching, using the Wisconsin Idea to positively impact
people\'s lives through dance. We offer BFA and BS degree programs in
dance, four certificates, elective dance courses, summer intensive
study, and dance festivals. Our facility at Lathrop Hall features five
spacious dance studios, a Pilates equipment lab, and the H\'Doubler
Performance Space, a 240-seat theater. We are looking for a facilities
coordinator who is detail-oriented and organized to oversee space and
services at our facilities. The ideal candidate will be able to
effectively coordinate and communicate scheduled maintenance conducted
by campus and school facilities and planning management groups, be the
main point of contact for emergency and routine repairs, and ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. In
addition, the facilities coordinator will also be responsible for
managing employee (student hourly worker) performance, preparing reports
on building findings, and monitoring budgetary expenses in conjunction
with school and campus facilities stakeholders related to maintenance
services. This position is expected to be hired at .8 FTE. The role
involves: Building Oversight Regularly inspect and maintain the
condition of the building, especially dance studios, lobby, and parlor.
Communicate maintenance, construction, cleaning updates and needs to the
Administration Team and Chair. Act as the department\'s liaison with
internal and external vendors, contractors, units, and service partners.
Submits Facilities Planning and Management work orders and tracks
progress. Communicate promptly with divisional and campus facilities
staff if a work order still needs to be completed. Remain up to date
