Position Summary:
Plans, organizes and coordinates surgical services schedule in collaboration with surgical services staff.
Reports to: Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receives patient scheduling information from physician offices and electronically adjusts schedule, ensuring accuracy and appropriate time allotment for procedures.
Arranges schedules to ensure timely patient flow through perioperative period. Keeps schedule updated with add-on’s and cancellations
Communicates with anesthesia regarding coverage and concerns.
Communicates any special needs for procedures, or concerns regarding patient care to manager/director or charge RN
Maintains calendar and updates with physician vacations and department changes.
Maintains department call schedule for contact center
Calls every patient prior to procedure to confirm appointment, provide directions and give patient arrival time
