JOB REQUIREMENTS: Sets up the equipment for the processing of fiber
according to established production procedures and schedules. Reviews
production tickets to confirm order, check specifications and ensure
material is processed properly. Operates the equipment for the
processing of the work order. Understands the proper set-up procedures
of all equipment, performs routine checks of equipment and reports any
maintenance issues to appropriate personnel. Performs required quality
control checks on fiber coming into the department, as it is processed
within the department and leaving the department. Completes all
associated paperwork and reports any quality issues immediately to
appropriate personnel. Ensures that fiber failing to meet established
quality standards does not proceed for further processing unless
authorized. Understands and adheres to all department and company
policies, procedures, and work rules. Follows safety policies and rules,
performs in a safe manner, and works to foster a safe working
environment. Provides training for other employees on department
responsibilities, including quality control and safety issues. Provides
feedback on the performance of trainees and temporary employees to
supervisory personnel. Performs general housekeeping to ensure a clean
and safe working environment in the department and throughout the plant
