REQUIREMENTS: Crisis Intervention Center hiring Shelter Advocate. Full time. High School diploma or equivalent required. Valid DL required and proof of insurance for travel of job. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must submit to a background check and drug test upon hire. Preference of 6 month experience with child domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma or abuse experience, but NOT required. Will train. JOB DESCRIPTION: Will work in a Domestic Violence Shelter and respond to cases of sexual assault during and/or after hours from hospital and/or law enforcement, to be present with victim during medical forensic examination, answers hotline calls, and facilitates follow up services with clients or referral to other community services. Documents and files all client contacts on appropriate forms and completes log of all shift activities. Will work 40 hours per week including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
