Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Student Engagement for Fraternity & Sorority Life provides guidance, and oversight for all social fraternity and sorority chapters recognized by the University at Buffalo (UB). This position supports the students involved in social Greek Life, promotes academic success, and enhances the overall student experience through collaboration. The successful candidate will work to ensure fraternity and sorority life align with the university’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Work closely with all team members.
  • Support the academic, personal, and professional development of students.
  • Help with the development of programs related to diversity and diverse abilities.
  • Educate new members of the values and traditions of the organization
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and foster a culture of appreciation and motivation.

Due to the nature of our work, some evening and weekend hours will be required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience
OR
  • Master’s degree or professional certification with no experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in fraternity and sorority life, student affairs, or related areas.
Physical Demands
Salary Range $55,151 - $58,700
Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
