Planer Operator - THREE DAY WEEKENDS!
If you have skills as a Planer Operator, or want to learn, and are a hands-on type of person, let LC Staffing help you build a career with a local company that has a solid foundation here in the valley. We are looking for a safety conscience, reliable Planer Operator who thrives working around wood and understands the lumber industry or wants to learn. This career opportunity could allow you to enjoy three-day weekends!
Pay: Starting at $21.89/hour
Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Three day weekends!
Responsibilities:
Serve as Planer backup for other employees
Trim end puller and pull chain operator
Monitor sticker stacker machine
Notify foreman of any quality problems and any mechanical or electrical problems
Stack lumber and tally lumber units
Fill out inventory tickets and edits computer generated inventory tickets
Sort off-grade and damaged lumber
Secure lumber units and paper wrap units assisting bander
Clean and shovel snow under the planer infeed as needed
Operate forklift, floor sweeper and water truck
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, preferred
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, required
Knowledge of lumber quality and grades, preferred
Experience operating machinery, preferred
