Job Description:
L3Harris, Broadband Communication Systems (BCS) is seeking a Test System Engineers (TSE.) TSEs are the technical expert of L3Harris products within Operations at BCS in Salt Lake City. TSEs perform systems engineering functions which help create the processes and test systems that used to manufacture L3Harris products. TSEs support proposals, create and manage test requirements, perform project management, create technical documentation, participate in product design review, subcontract support, risk management activities, root cause analysis and corrective action creation to address failure trends.
Responsibilities
- Define, trace and maintain test process requirements
- Test procedure creation and maintenance
- Improve test yield through root cause and corrective action
- Create product related technical information in support of Operations
- Ensures overall technical performance for Test Engineering developments
- Work with Engineering to facilitate the transition of products from design to production
- Provide input to Engineering to support product lifecycle management
- Project management for Test Engineering development
- Mentor Engineers with less experience
- Provide input to organizational vision
- Provide technical test consultation to internal organizations, contract manufacturers or customers
- Represent Test Engineering in technical discussions to outside organizations
- Evaluate contract manufacturers capabilities to provide required products or services
- Participate in product design reviews
- Support manufacturing floor to help overcome production issues
Qualifications
- An ABET (EAC/CAC) accredited Bachelors of Science degree
- 1+ years of directly related work experience in engineering
- Electrical Engineering experience in both digital and RF circuits
- Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to collaborate, contribute, support in a team environment to ensure project success
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Ability and willingness to travel
