WSP USA Construction Inspector in Tucson, Arizona

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Tucson, Arizona office . Be involved in projects with our PM/CM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Under general supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, structural plans, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, flow diagrams, materials sampling, computer-generated reports, and other matrices for field inspection activities.

  • Under general supervision, assist with performing basic professional inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, construction, materials, controls, resources, layout, alignment, and elevation to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and construction or operating permits.

  • Provide basic technical assistance that accounts for the proper inspection, construction, and functioning of buildings, highways, runways, roads, storm drain systems, structures, infrastructure, according to design standard specifications.

  • Assist with verifying load calculations, change orders, interpretation of contract plans and specifications, and escalating any differences, errors, or technical problems for appropriate resolution.

  • Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation and specifications related to inspection findings using electronic systems, written/oral feedback, photographs, drawings, diagrams, illustrations, spreadsheets, and reports.

  • Comply with client policies and procedures for inspection work under contract.

  • Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, location data, statistical documentation, studies and surveys, and construction.

  • Complete training on assigned tasks.

  • Exhibit basic knowledge of current field inspection practices.

  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, engineers, inspectors, project control, and technicians on assigned inspection phases, checks, and tasks.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience.

  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) certified
