research engineer/scientist to realize that mission by expanding the capabilities of
Apple products and platforms.
Description
As a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a small team of
highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products.
This position requires a self-motivated engineer/scientist with strong technical and
interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:
• Converting abstract, high-level goals into concrete, measurable requirements
• Proposing and evaluating different AI/ML technologies for their potential to achieve a given task
• Collaborating with various stakeholders, including engineering orgs and designers to architect the best overall system
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent industry experience in Robotics, CS or related field
- Strong grasp of AI/ML methods, both classical methods (e.g. decision trees) as well as more modern methods (e.g. LLMs)
- Strong software development and coding expertise
- Ability to break down large features and implement practical solutions
- Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with generative AI models, e.g. Transformers, LLMs, VLMs, VLAs, diffusion models, etc.
- Experience with robotics data collection for training models
- Experience shipping a complex AI system
