Operates the plant boilers, air compressors, refrigeration units, cooling towers, water softeners and other utility systems in a safe manner * Monitors the operation of the plant Dissolved Air Floatation Unit and makes appropriate contact to obtain assistance when problems are noted * Assist with and provide support for the maintenance of the plant including installation, repairing, maintaining, setup, troubleshooting, and/or operating Plant Utility Systems, including Boilers, Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Wastewater Operations, Plant Manufacturing equipment or other Utility System machinery * Monitor and maintain the correct boiler chemistry. In addition, ensures proper operation of chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment facility, and chemical addition systems * Conduct facility preventative maintenance and repairs for all equipment as directed * Replaces packing on pumps and valves, motor and pump bearings, seals and sleeves, adjusts shaft alignments, worn parts, bearings, seals, lubricates motors and gearboxes * Conducts visual inspection involving small defects and, or small parts, maintains plant and pump station building and grounds * Other duties include proper use and care for tools, maintaining daily maintenance logs, ordering and stocking parts * Conducts other duties as assigned * Troubleshoot control issues * Assist with maintenance work as needed * Flexibility if required to work overtime as required by the maintenance * Assist Operations/maintenance department as needed * Any other assigned tasks/duties Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
