Position Summary: 

The Medical Technologist provides services as part of the patient care team.  The Medical Technologist performs routine and stat, complex laboratory testing and is responsible for all aspects of that testing.  They assume responsibility for problem solving, teaching, instrumentation operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.  Supervision of staff is required as assigned.  Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.  Is responsible for quality of own work.  Must remain flexible in response to change.  Multi-campus rotation may be required in performance of duties. weekend and holiday rotation as assigned.

Education/Experience:  

BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA Microbiology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493. 1433 published in March 14, 1990. Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation from IERF (International Education Research Foundation). United States educated candidates must provide a detailed original transcript and/or diploma.
