Financial Analyst will support the Plant Controller for Saint-Gobain
Life Sciences\' manufacturing locations, in Portage, WI & Poestenkill,
NY, with adherence to financial policies and ICRF controls and improving
internal business processes to support the Life Sciences
growth/profitability model. Will provide cost analysis, standard cost
establishment, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Will
account for all aspects of cost accounting including variance analysis
and month-end closing. Will provide staff and divisional management,
accurate and timely information that will assist them in monitoring
performance in order to reach company established goals and objectives.
Will complete specially assigned projects by the Site Controller/Staff
as required. Essential Functions Provide cost analysis, standard cost
establishment, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis & support
to site management. Ensure prompt month-end closing, issue management
reports. Provide non-routine accounting information to site controller,
BU controller & other financial groups. Participate in continuous
improvement efforts/WCM. Undertake project work assigned by Site
Controller which includes multiple projects covering varying accounting
needs of facility. Is this job for you ? Required
Qualifications/Abilities: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or
related field. 2+ years of experience in financial analysis & cost
accounting. Experience in manufacturing environment. Ability to analyze
financial data & trends. Proficiency in financial concepts & math.
Experience with analytic tools & software, such as SQL, Excel, etc.
High-level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis.
