| Job Description: |
Need 20 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Chokio, MN.
From: 04/15/2024 to 01/01/2025
Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day
Hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half.

JOB DUTIES: Assist with grinding and mixing feeds for swine production; keep pens clean and sanitized by power washing; assisting with breeding sows via artificial insemination, recording dates bred on sows cards; moving sows from breeding pens to gestation pens, giving shots when necessary to keep pigs healthy; assisting during farrowing and helps baby pigs to survive birth and infancy, castrates, notches ears, vaccinates, clipping teeth and tails, recording number of pigs each sow has, dates born, treatments given; wean pigs from sows; flushes hog waste into holding pits, replaces filters, valves for water plumbing; harvesting and transporting grain and oilseed crops to storage facilities for grinding and mixing; repair and maintenance to barn, gates, feeders and waterers, general maintenance of equipment and machinery. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Employer may pay workers more depending on how many years of experience they have or other factors such as job performance, skill, punctuality. Employer will provide tools and equipment needed for the position at no cost.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months recent and verifiable experience for job duties listed; valid Driver's License; able to lift 75lbs. One hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker, and testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment; no minimum education required.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
