Subject Matter Expert (SME)

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Navy Satellite Communication facilities and Gateway programs.  This position is hybrid with a combination of days on site and telework.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides input, assistance, and resolution to tasks and issues related to Navy Satellite Communication and Gateway systems/facilities and the overall SATCOM community
• Provides subject matter expertise in Operations and Maintenance for Navy SATCOM and Gateway facilities; and program management support for implementation, Integration, and logistics taskings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical training and recognized expert experience in both Commercial and DoD Telecommunications, specifically Wideband, Narrowband, and Protected Satellite Communications
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience
• Experience in Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Data Analysis, Test & Evaluation, and Training

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• An active DoD SECRET security clearance is required

TRAVEL

• Travel 25% - CONUS & OCONUS
