As a RN Clinic Specialist, you will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team with responsibility providing professional and quality nursing care in our specialty clinics. This individual performs both independent and delegated tasks, which include assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for assigned patients within a specialty area. Accept change, engage in ongoing process improvement, and provide outstanding customer service and care.
Our dedicated Eye Care team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Orthoptists and Nurses, along with Certified Technicians and Assistants, provide next level diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the eye using state of the art technology. Our providers specialize in various ophthalmology and optometry subspecialities including Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Neuro Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and Vitreoretinal Disease. Our all inclusive approach ensures our present and future patients receive the best outcome possible.
RN Clinic Specialist Overview
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assesses patient needs and identifies anticipated nursing outcomes
Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other health care team members
Implements nursing interventions based on care plan
Delivers care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patients
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and current Minnesota RN license
BLS certification
5+ years of hospital or clinic experience, or 2+ years of specialty/critical care experience with specialty certification
Experience with electronic health record systems
Preferred:
Specialty training or graduate classes related to clinical area of practice
