This position will be responsible for completing the admission process for patients being admitted to inpatient units through the emergency room. This will include a full patient assessment, completion of admission documentation, and completion of medication reconciliation. The nurse will have regular dialogue with the inpatient and ER departments regarding any information regarding the patient and admission. The candidate will also develop a clear understanding of the capabilities of each inpatient unit and will assist bed coordination in ensuring that each patient is admitted to the appropriate level of care.This position reports to the Clinical Resource Nurse manager.
Qualified candidates will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license. The candidate must have acute-care hospital experience with BLS, ACLS, and telemetry experience required. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are key attributes for the successful candidate.
