Kennedy Jenks is seeking Staff Scientists/Geologists to support multidisciplinary project teams that are conducting environmental investigation and remediation tasks as well as sustainability and compliance tasks under various state and federal regulations/programs. You will serve as Staff Scientist/Geologist and support Project Managers on environmental projects.
Responsibilities may include:
Environmental monitoring and sample collection of multiple media (e.g., groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, soil gas, indoor air, etc.)
Operation and maintenance of remediation systems
Construction oversight/management
Documentation of field observations and technical data, use of field instrumentation
Field supervision of various subcontractors
Task coordination
Data collection, review, management and/or evaluation
Risk assessment support
Technical report preparation
Permitting support
Interacting with clients and regulatory agency representatives
May work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously using strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
BS or MS in Environmental Science, Geology, or related Science
0-3 years of experience
40-hour HAZWOPER preferred
Ability to travel as needed
Valid U.S driver's license
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Understanding of chemistry, environmental regulations, and/or risk assessment preferred

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $52,0000 - $65,000 and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, skills, licensure/certifications, seniority, geographic location, and performance.
