Position Summary
The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking applications for a number of part-time faculty positions. These positions are to support our new online MS degree program in biomedical sciences. The program is designed to provide students an opportunity to improve their academic record prior to making an application to medical school (often referred to as a post-bac record enhancer). Each course in the program is currently being developed by our subject matter experts and will be composed of a combination of both asynchronous and synchronous online elements. The courses will be taught by part-time faculty.

Courses to be covered in Fall of 2024 include: Advanced Molecular Biology, Statistical Inference and Modeling, Immunology, Journal Club, and Public Health Microbiology. Spring 2025 coursework includes: Advanced Cell Biology, Epidemiology, Journal Club, Applied & Clinical Biochemistry, and Microbiology.

Required Qualifications
  • Qualified applicants will have an advanced degree in a relevant area.
  • Ideal candidates will have excellent subject knowledge, teaching skill, and prior experience working with students bound for medical school.
  • The ability to cover more than one course is also desirable.
  • All remote work must be performed in a state in which the College is registered to do business which includes New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maryland, Texas, and California.
