| Position Summary | As a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Physics, this position will support the research program of Profs. Peihong Zhang and Xuedong Hu. Projects will focus on understanding material physics that affect the performance of semiconductor quantum dots based spin qubits. The candidate will work closely with both supervisors, other postdocs, graduate students, and with our experimental collaborators. Duties will include but are not limited to:

| Minimum Qualifications | The candidates should have a Ph.D degree in condensed matter physics (or a related field) and have demonstrated original contributions to the field. |
| Preferred Qualifications | Priority will be given to candidates with experience in first-principles electronic structure theory (especially large-scale computation of complex materials and structures) and spin qubit physics in semiconductor quantum dots. |

| Salary Range | $45,000 - $50,000 |
| Additional Salary Information | The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate. |
