Are you looking to further your career with the City of Saint Paul? Our Office of Human Resources is hiring a Human Resources Manager to provide strategic leadership in the areas of recruitment, selection, and hiring.

The Office of Human Resources provides comprehensive support to 16 City departments and over 3,000 employees. The City of Saint Paul is a unionized employer with hiring practices shaped by equity and inclusion, collective bargaining agreements, best practices, and City Civil Service Rules. We are seeking a creative problem solver to help us build and maintain a highly qualified team of professionals committed to public service.

Here's what you can expect to do in this role:
Oversees the high-volume recruitment and selection processes for the City, through efficient, fair and consistent hiring practices, while supporting the City’s equity goals.
Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the Human Resources Consulting Services Team in the areas of recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, development and training, equity and inclusion, and pre-employment screening.
Builds relationships with department management to provide education and consultation to ensure positive communication and customer satisfaction. Understands specific business needs of each department, providing recommendations for strategic, systemic, or structural changes to staffing and workflow.
